about

So many of you out there who've been through trauma or hard experiences know the process of explaining what happens to someone. This song was very much a 'coming to terms' with explaining that. Tomorrow might not be a better day, and that's ok. It doesn't have to be. You don't have to smile when you don't have to and really, that's nothing to be sorry for. That's what this song meant to me.

***Please note, half of the proceeds from this track as well as any other tracks from Speak Up, Speak Out, go to charities for mental illness awareness***

lyrics

It's hard to know that
you're strong for holding back
when your hands are shaking

And if counting blessing
is such a virtue, then
I guess I was mistaken

To line my problems
up like pills
on the dining room table
if only you were able
to say
that it'll be ok
It'll be ok

I overestimated my ability
to hold this conversation

when the elephant in the room
is lodged down my throat
but i don't wanna choke
on these words

I can't apologize
I'm not fixable
I never had a virus-scanner
in my skull
Tomorrow might not be
a better day for me
And that'll be ok
That'll be ok (x2)
